Who We Are
Chelsea Reid is a filmmaker, artist, and author from Northern Ontario. She is a member of Atikameksheng Anishnawbek, and her work highlights the fractal geometry of nature as a blueprint for existence, digital networking as a means of cultural preservation, and media history. Her areas of research include digital humanities, the social imaginary / ideological construction through the arts and general network theory.
In 2019 Chelsea worked to program six weeks of 360 film workshops focused on working with Indigenous youth in six Northern communities across Ontario. She is currently working with Allie Travale to launch a program titled Creative ACE, which is a youth-led collaborative Arts-based Civic Engagement (ACE) project in partnership with three local arts organizations, Laidlaw Foundation and an Alternative Education program in North Bay, Ontario.
